A Bright, Open Space in Hundred Oaks

Before remodeling, this client’s home had walls separating the kitchen from the adjacent living and dining rooms. These made the space feel dark and closed off despite all the natural light. Our goal was to open the space up and make it more functional for the clients. We widened the doorway between the kitchen and the dining room and removed the upper cabinets on the side facing the living room. We were able to keep the separation of the spaces through the use of wooden beams and casings which brought much-needed warmth and set the stage as you moved from one space to another.
