Now we are seeing this exciting trend of incorporating three-dimensional tiles, panels, and accents to draw the eye to a space. These designs typically feature large patterns made in almost any material. Let’s discuss a few different ways to add these 3D features into your home.

Gypsum

1 - Gypsum

Gypsum panels are most commonly used for 3D walls. They have are a durable material that last a long time and can be cut, stained and painted for all different kinds of designs and patterns. It also does not burn which makes it a good open to include around a fireplace or in the kitchen.

2 - Wood

3D wood panels can have beautiful, complex designs. These can be purchased easily even on Etsy and installed yourself or from higher-end manufacturers that require additional help. An environmentally friendly alternative to wood is bamboo.

Stone tiles are one the easiest ways into incorporate 3D textures to walls. Most can be purchased from the normal tile store and are easy to install. Most often they have grout in between tiles but can be made very small to where it is not even noticeable.

4 - Wallpaper

If you are not ready to jump straight into adding actual 3D materials to a space, wallpaper is a great alternative. Many patterns give a three-dimensional look without actually being 3D. Also, wallpaper can be very cost effective depending on where you get it from, and lots of companies have made it easier to install.
